3: The Achiever – The Need to Achieve
- Strengths – Driven, Adaptive, Ambitious, Impressive, Entertaining
- Pitfalls – Image-Conscious, Chameleon-Like, Deceptive, Struggles with Worthlessness, Insecure
- 3w2 – The Enchanter
- 3w4 – The Expert
Achievers are motivated to be loved through their most recent success and can feel shame at being seen as a failure. As a result, they put much effort into being as assertive as possible. 3s believe they are only as lovable or valuable as their most recent success, which can end up being a treadmill that never ends.
Early in life, Achievers developed a skill of being the image of success, no matter who they are in front of, which means they can struggle with authentically being themselves. 3s are, at their best, consistently finishing projects and to-do lists.
If 3s wish to grow, they will need to learn how to be themselves, not who the crowd wants them to be. They will need to give up the need for an audience, which includes themselves, and learn to be here now without constantly getting things done.
